Leiden & CAU sustainable agriculture workshop
荷兰莱顿大学环境科学学院(CML)的产业生态学系在可持续性研究领域位于全球领先水平,其开发的环境生命周期评价模型(CML2001)、多区域环境投入产出分析模型(EXIOBASE)等多种环境影响分析数据模型在全世界得到了广泛的认可和应用,其研究多为前沿交叉学科,近几年在Nature Energy、PNAS等顶尖期刊发表诸多高水平论文,有很高的学术影响力。本期研讨会旨在加强莱顿大学CML与中国农业大学区域农业发展研究中心在区域农业可持续性问题研究的合作与交流。

主讲人介绍:
Dr.Arnold Tukker Professor
Position: Full professor in the field of Industrial Ecology, Leiden University. Scientific Director of the Institute of Environmental Sciences (CML). Retains a part time position as senior researcher at TNO.
Professor Arnold Tukker set up prominent EU projects in the field of sustainable product design (SusProNet) and sustainable consumption and production (SCORE!) and was core member of the 10 Million Euro Dutch Knowledge Network on Sustainable System Innovations. He co-coordinated a string of major programs of some 15 million Euro with some 20 key European research institutes in the field of resource-efficiency, a.o. constructing the world’s most ambitious and detailed global energy/resource/economic input-output databases and models (EXIOBASE). He further set up with 6 partner universities an EU (European Union) Marie Curie Innovative Training Network of 15 PhDs researching the circular economy (Circ€uit). He authored 6 books, over 90 refereed papers and 7 special issues on sustainability research (h-value 43 / 11500 citations in Google scholar).

Dr.Laura Scherer Assistant professor
Dr. Laura Scherer is interested in research in the fields of regionalized life cycle assessment, water resources, and biodiversity conservation. She is the member of the WULCA EQ working group (Water Use in LCA–Ecosystem Quality), a UNEP(United Nations Environment Programme)/SETAC (Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry) life cycle initiative. She is an academic editor at PLOS ONE and reviews for scientific journals (e.g., Environmental Science & Technology, The International Journal of Life Cycle Assessment, Journal of Industrial Ecology, and Nature Sustainability). Laura Scherer’s research currently focuses on environmental cause prioritization. In 2019 she visited the Global Priorities Institute at Oxford University and led an international collaboration, which involved key researchers in the fields of biodiversity and ecosystems or agriculture and food security from the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Finland, the United Kingdom, South Africa, China and the United States.

Dr. José Mogollón Assistant professor
Dr. José Mogollón has worked over 11 years on quantifying and modeling Earth system processes and their responses to human pressures. He has worked in several FP7 and H2020 projects and furthermore received a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship to research Coastal Hypoxia at Utrecht University in conjunction with the PBL Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency. He is interested in biogeochemical modelling, earth system, environmental modelling, integrated assessment models (IAMS) to quantify the influence and the pressures that society inflicts on the environment. This involves understanding the global biogeochemical cycles of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus and how the Anthropocene has affected the flows and stocks of these elements through various ecosystems and reservoirs.
