小麦为人类提供超过20%的能量和蛋白质,其稳产高产是人类社会稳定的基础,因此抗病高产基因的克隆与研究是人类可持续发展的必然需求。本课题组主要研究小麦分子遗传,从前期积累的小麦优异突变体出发,将天然品种中复杂的数量性状简化成遗传规律简单的质量性状,缩短研究周期同时提高效率,克隆小麦耐条锈病的基因,阐明抗病的分子机制,侧重从代谢调控的角度探索具有持久、广谱抗病潜力的策略。为了全面研究耐病基因的应用潜力,实验室开展部分产量性状和功能品质的研究,希望实现抗病高产和营养功能的耦合调控,为抗病育种提供理论基础和有用的种质资源。
