Report title: “Maize and soybean adaptation to abiotic stress: ongoing physiological and genetic studies” Reporter: Felix Fritschi 汇报时间:9:30-10:30 am, Monday, Aug 27th 地点:农学楼236会议室 联系人:王璞62733611
Brief introduction: Dr. Fritschi is a full professor in division of Plant Science, University of Missouri. He got lots of professional affiliations and awards during his research career. He was elected as the fellow of Crop Science Society of America in 2018, the chair of crop physiology and metabolism division in Crop Science Society of America (CSSA) in 2016, and the vice-leader of Soil Plant Water Relations Community of the American Society of Agronomy in 2018. He is the associate journal editor of Crop Science. The research in his group mainly focuses on the genetic and physiological mechanisms of local climatic adaption and abiotic stress (water stress, heat stress, nutrient deficiency) in plants (soybean, biofuel crop, maize, ect). In the past five years, he supervised 24 graduate students, 22 postdoctoral researchers and 11 visiting students and scholars, and published over 30 SCI papers in Journals such as Journal of Experimental Botany, Field Crop Research, Crop Science, Environmental and Experimental Botany, Frontiers in Plant Science, BMC plant biology, Industrial Crops and Products, etc.
